SEWING MACHINE INTRO

You - meet sewing machine. Sewing Machine - meet YOU! It’s time. Time to dust off that machine that you got as a present, or picked up at a tag sale and start using it. And we’ll start with the most perfect project - an ECO TOTE. A lovely shopper that you can make over and over again, (part of my evil plan is that you make your own shopping bags for you and all your friends and family - or teach them to make them too! No more paper and plastic!). You’ll need to bring about a yard of fabric. But try not to buy the fabric at the store, look in your closet! Any old clothes? Bed linens? Slip covers? They all make wonderful and cool bags!
Supplies Needed: Your Sewing Machine, Your Sewing Machine Manual, Sewing Kit, 1 yard of fabric, notebook, pencil
FELT, FABRIC, SWEATER GARLAND
Skill Level - Beginner - this is a great class for KIDS (6+)

Bring in your felt/felted scraps, old clothes, scraps of fabric, and we’ll stitch up a super cool garland. All soft materials are fair game, this can be the perfect scrap project. Be sure you bring a range of sewing needles for your machine to match your fabric choices and a couple of thread choices.
Supplies Needed: Scraps of all kinds, old clothes, sweaters, blankets, whatever you have stashed away. Sewing Machine, Your Sewing Kit, Thread and a few sewing needles to match the fabrics you’ll be using.
FABRIC GIFT BAGS
Skill Level - Beginner - this is a great class for KIDS (6+)

Tuesday, Dec 16 - 10AM-12PM
We’ll make 3 different sized bags for gift wrapping. Don’t run out and buy any more paper that will end up not being used again. Make Fabric Bags that can be used every year! This is the perfect project for your old tablecloths, bed linens, curtains. Please bring about 2 yards of fabric and about 3 yards of ribbon (more if you want to make a super large laundry size bag for that big screen tv you are giving this year.
Supplies Needed: Your Sewing Machine, Your Sewing Kit, about 2 yards of fabric, about 3 yards of 1/2″ or bigger ribbon, thread
POM POM GARLAND
Skill Level - Beginner - this is a great class for KIDS (6+)
$25 + $8 for supplies

If you love pom poms as much as I do, then you need a pom pom garland too! The bigger the pom poms, the longer the garland.
Supplies needed - All materials are supplied.
BIRD ORNAMENTS
Skill Level - Beginner

Saturday, Dec 13 1PM-3PM
We’ll stitch up a quick little bird for your tree, or to give as a gift. I’ll share my little birdie pattern with you (sew you can go home and make more). This is another great project for your scraps, and if there’s time we’ll embellish with some shiny beads.
Supplies Needed: Sewing Machine, Sewing Kit, Fabric for your birds, (contrasting fabrics are sweet, use things around the house, old towels, sweaters, blankets, a few fat quarters), thread, notebook and pencil
NO SEW SCARF
Skill Level - Beginner - this is a great class for KIDS (6+)
$25+ $5 for supplies
Saturday, Dec 20, 10AM-12PM
Bring 2 or 3 old t-shirts, colors that you love, and we’ll make a few scarves. We’ll embellish with a bit of embroidery and beads. These are great last minute gifts that are quick and easy to make!
Supplies Needed: 2 or 3 t-shirts or t-shirt fabric or fleece, Your Sewing Kit
FELT ORNAMENTS
Skill Level - Beginner - this is a great class for KIDS (6+)
$25 + $5 for supplies
Saturday Dec 20 1PM-3PM
Bring a bunch of felt, and be prepared to share with other LuckyStitchers as we sew, embroider and bead a handful of felt ornaments. Make great last minute gifts and tags for your presents!
Supplies Needed: Bring 3-5 sheets of felt. (Felt can be felted sweaters, old blankets, or scraps) Be prepared to spread the felt love and share scraps with other LuckyStitchers. Your Sewing Kit. (Floss and beads will be provided)
